Painter and watercolourist from Luxembourg, Will Dahlem was born on September 23, 1916 in Pétange, canton of Esch-sur-Alzette and died in Luxembourg on March 4, 1986.
He studied art at the École Industrielle de St-Gilles (Brussels), at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière (Paris) and at the University of Trier (Germany).
He was co-founder of the first Iconoclastic Salon in Luxembourg in 1954. His compositions are reminiscent of those executed by the promoters of non-figurative art after the war, mainly in Paris. He also painted the stained glass windows for the Saint Michel church in Bettange-sur-Mess (Luxembourg).
In 1958 he was awarded the Grand-Duc Adolphe Prize.
