Jean Poulet – Bouquet of flowers

Oil on canvas representing a bouquet of flowers. Abstract-expressionist style still-life, entitled "Bouquet", dated 1989, according to the inscription written on the back by the artist.

Jean-Pierre Poulet, French painter of landscapes and still-lifes, was born in Givors (Rhône) on September 22, 1926. After his studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, he became a drawing teacher in France, then in Morocco. In 1971, he left teaching, travelled and stayed abroad, devoting himself to painting. He exhibited in numerous art galleries from 1968 to 1992.

Jean Poulet died in Malestroit (Morbihan) on 12 August 2006.
