Henri Perrot (1896-1975) is a French landscape painter. His work, generally quite colourful, is distinguished by the purity and impeccability of the image. His favourite subjects were the landscapes of his native Provence, but he also painted many orientalist works.
This landscape represents an unidentified Provence village (any help identifying it is welcome!). Oil on hardboard, signed lower left. A label on the back with handwritten annotation of the painter identifies the title of the work. Montparnasse style frame from the 50s.
