The painting bears a striking resemblance to a series of watercolour paintings by French artist Dominique Louis Auguste Papety (1815-1849) on the theme of Italian traditional costumes. Overall good condition, some mild foxing. The paper is evenly browned and is housed under glass in a wooden frame.
