French School 19th Century - Portrait Of An Elegant Man

This oil painting portrait of a elegant man created by an anonymous artist and circa 1920, depicts Claude Denis Laussedat, a prominent merchant and member of the French bourgeoisie. Laussedat, born on May 11, 1778 in Riom (Puy-de-Dôme), was the son of a master shoemaker and passed away in the same town on December 16, 1847.
