18th Century French School - Portrait Of An Elegant Woman

This exquisite French School portrait represents an elegant woman in rich clothing. She wears a delicate white lace blouse and cuffs in accordance with the standards of the period, under a rich red robe covered by a black lace hooded shawl. Her head is covered by a white lace head-dress visible under the hood. Her hands are hidden inside a thick fur muff. Oil on canvas unsigned and circa 1740.
