José Luis Sosa (Caracas, 1948) is a Venezuelan plastic artist based in Spain. He studied art, drawing and painting at the Cristóbal Rojas School of Plastic Arts in Caracas, participating in his first exhibition in 1967. His work is inspired by atavistic symbols associated with Latin American indigenous culture. His style is encompassed in chromatic and geometric abstraction, and his work stands out for the profusion of colour, the movement and nature that is perceived.
