Jonathan Zutter, French painter of figures, landscapes and seascapes. Born 18 December 1928, in Monaco. Studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva between 1946 and 1948, at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris, and at the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten in The Hague. He moved to Marseilles in 1950. He is a painter of seascapes, landscapes, portraits and nudes, rendered in a vaporous atmosphere in a carefully developed palette.
Zutter has had numerous solo exhibitions in France, as well as in Switzerland, the USA, Great Britain and Australia. He received the Premier Prix of the Biennale in Menton in 1953.
Zutter died 28 December 1998, in Die, Rhône-Alpes, aged 70 years old.
