Animated Landscape – French School – 19th Century

Beautiful oil on canvas painting representing a hilly landscape with a castle, neoclassical structures and figures by a river running through the center of the image. Superior quality example of the French School, probably done in the first half of the 19th century. The canvas has been relined and there are signs of prior restoration and overpainting. The painting is available without frame.
