This oil on canvas portrait represents a well-groomed white haired gentleman. He wears a double-breasted black top coat, a high collared white shirt and a white knotted tie, in accordance with the fashion of the French Empire and Restoration periods.

Signed and dated I.F. Ingall (?) 1816 on right side next to his shoulder.

Condition: Very good condition. Recent restoration. Original stretcher.
