Family portrait, probably from the north of France. The scene consists of the husband, his wife and a young boy. The couple wears numerous gold ornaments, indicating that they were prosperous, and all three hold small flower bouquets in their hands. The gold anchor worn by the father leads us to think he very likely had a maritime industry profession. Oil on canvas circa 1870.
