Lovely family scene representing a mother and her children on a terrace, making a garland of flowers, probably for a festive or religious celebration. Charles-Joseph Bergès was born in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) on 22 April 1851 and died in the same city on 3 December 1941. A pupil of Dagnon-Bouveret and Humbert, Charles Bergès exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français (of which he was a member) from 1911 to 1925.
