Gisèle Clémentine Ferrandier de Laprade was born 16 September 1909, in Paris. She studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. From 1935, she exhibited at the Salon des Tuileries and the Salon des Femmes Peintres et Sculpteurs (for women artists), as well as in Algiers, Geneva and Lyons. She married Jacques de Laprade in 1938, a conservator at the Chateau de Pau Museum between 1947 y 1974. She died in that town on 27 January 2000, at the age of 90. Her work can be found in art museums in Lyon, Pau and Marseille, as well as numerous private collections.
